SUMMARY:
The person in this position assists in managing the tax function and meeting internal and external departmental deadlines. He or she supports multinational planning and research.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate and review U.S. federal and state income and miscellaneous other tax returns on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Assist with review and preparation of tax provisions on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as well as applicable financial statement disclosures
Research - analyze domestic and multinational tax issues
Analyze domestic and multinational tax issues, including due diligence review for acquisitions
Manage the international compliance reporting for the U.S. consolidated federal return (Forms 5471, 8865, 8858, and 1118)
Supervise and train tax staff
Communicate and interact with outside auditors and tax advisors
Make critical technical decisions, utilizing expertise and experience
Manage other projects and perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with all levels
• Knowledge of and ability to research tax matters (BNA and CCH experience preferred)
• Understanding of US GAAP accounting for income tax principles (ASC 740, formerly known as FAS 109, FIN 48)
• Experience with US multinational tax compliance and planning
• Ability to analyze and apply tax knowledge to complex tax issues and communicate findings in plain English to management
• Strong computer skills, especially in Excel and for performing tax research
• Experience with OneSource tax-compliance-and-provision software preferred
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing projects in an acquisition-oriented business

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR CREDENTIALS:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; MST or MBA preferred
• CPA certification and a minimum of seven to ten years of related experience; a mix of public and industry preferred
