Seeking a Senior-Level Mechanical Engineer to become an integral member of the engineering team dedicated to the development of military-grade electronics and enclosures for the Common Weapon Launcher (CWL) system. Duties and Responsibilities Lead mechanical design effort to install CWL on a new submarine platform Design and analyze enclosures for multiple submarine platforms Design and analyze components and electro-mechanical assemblies Create and maintain mechanical solid models and drawings Create and manage bills of material (BOM) within data management system Develop fixtures and equipment to support testing and production efforts Generate design and interface documentation Develop technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and the Navy customer Participate in various technical and program meetings on a weekly basis What sets you apart: Strong proficiency with SolidWorks modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards Experience with ruggedized electronics packaging for shipboard applications a plus Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) a plus Collaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects Strong communication skills with ability to write technical papers and proposals Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others Our Commitment to You: An exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning and development.
