Our client, a well-known retail apparel company, is looking for a Principal SEO Strategist to join their team for a remote 3-month contract. Responsibilities: Create and implement an SEO roadmap to meet business objectives. Lead SEO strategies to increase non-paid traffic and set industry standards. Act as a subject matter expert in SEO, content marketing, and web development trends, including AI and content automation. Advocate for SEO best practices and educate internal and external stakeholders. Manage technical SEO elements like site architecture, mobile optimization, and crawlability. Optimize website content, meta tags, and other on-page elements for better rankings. Develop and execute link-building strategies to improve domain authority. Promote SEO best practices across the organization to support scalable user acquisition. Provide thought leadership through case studies and insights. Establish data-driven marketing strategies, including local and multilingual optimizations. Troubleshoot and resolve SEO issues as they arise. Explore innovative ways to drive organic traffic and develop impactful campaigns. Create reporting frameworks to monitor and improve performance. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. 10+ years of SEO experience (retail expertise preferred). Proven leadership experience managing SEO teams of 5-10+ people. Strong track record of driving organic search growth. Expert knowledge of SEO best practices, search algorithms, and analytics tools. Experience leading agency or in-house SEO teams. Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
