Job Description

• Serve as the director and musician for regularly scheduled and special services, ensuring musical selections align with the worship style and Christian seasons.
• Discuss and align musical selections with the Contemporary Worship Service Chaplain and/or the JBER Senior Protestant Chaplain.
• Conduct weekly choir/worship team rehearsals.
• Create and manage worship slides, including song titles, credits, copyright notices, and CCLI number.
• Coordinate with the worship team to adjust the tempo and style to enhance congregational participation.
• Ensure all musical equipment is properly stored and maintained.

• Degree in music from an accredited institution preferred; minimum of four years of experience in a Protestant worship music program may be substituted.
• Knowledge of Protestant liturgy and contemporary Christian music; ability to lead worship while playing an instrument (piano or acoustic guitar).
• Previous experience in a Protestant military chapel setting preferred.
• Ability to coordinate music activities and manage all aspects of worship service music.
