We are searching for a
Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of RS EDEN facilities, to include building repairs of various sizes, responsible for apartment turnovers, building upkeep, maintenance supplies purchasing, program equipment maintenance, and additional duties as assigned. The
Maintenance Technician receives work direction from the Facilities Director of RS EDEN. Primary responsibilities are to assist in the maintenance and repair of RS EDEN properties and equipment. The
Maintenance Technician should advise supervisor of needs and potential problems. They should also be prepared to work a flexible schedule and be available in case of emergency situations. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple taskings are a must.
Pay rate ranges from $25-28 per hour This position offers a hiring bonus $1,500 for Full-time $1,000 for Part-time RESPONSIBILITES - Assists Facilities Director in maintaining RS EDEN properties.
- Completes repairs as needed and respond to directions of supervisor.
- Maintains Physical Properties. This may include painting, plumbing, carpentry, large repairs to building and equipment, small electrical, sheetrock repairs, landscaping, tile repair, completion of apartment turnovers within a reasonable amount of time.
- Remains available during off-hours in case of emergencies, as directed on by supervisor.
- Completes weekly and monthly tasks for each facility as outlined on facility maintenance form; turns in written report monthly.
- The ability to trouble shoot and problem solve various maintenance related issues.
- Purchases building and maintenance supplies under the direction of the Director.
- Maintains heating and cooling systems in all facilities as needed.
- Conducts work in a safe manner in accordance with electrical, fire, and building codes and standards.
- Maintains all yards, walkways, and entry areas of the facilities in clean and safe condition as directed by the Director.
- Remains aware of personal safety requirements associated with each task. Wears PPE and personal safety eyewear and utilizes other protective items as required for the task and tools utilized.

Machines, Tools, Equipment, Electronic Devices, etc., used for this position: cleaning supplies, commercial vehicles and various hand tools as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Required: - Current and valid driver's license, with a clean driving record
Preferred: - Current boilers license
- Experience in all aspects of building maintenance, skills in tool use, tool maintenance, and job safety, proficiency in repairing small and large appliances
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- One year free of any problems associated with chemical dependency, if applicable
- Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds with multiple individual and systemic barriers to success
- Ability to structure time well and develop priorities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to convey a positive and professional image
- Positive attitude
