General Liability Claims Adjuster
Location: Memphis TN (hybrid)
The General Liability Claims Adjuster is responsible for investigation, loss evaluation, negotiation and settlement of general liability and product liability claims which involve bodily injuries. The Adjuster will determine the scope of investigations, conduct interviews of claimants and witnesses, obtain and review medical records related to the claim, make initial liability determinations, confirm coverage, and set financial reserves based on the probable outcome and cost of claim to reduce exposure to the company. Also responsible for developing strategies with the in-house department and outside counsel to effectively and efficiently resolve litigation. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong customer service skills with the proper business knowledge to make financially responsible decisions for the company.
Responsibilities:
+ Assist the Liability teams with various activities that are related to processing claim correspondence; research inquires and claim handling requests; surveillance; timecards; telematics; employment information; processing checks; preparing subrogation demands and letters; order police reports; assist with new suit assignments; prepare releases and other claim forms and letters.
+ Maintain a high volume of email request.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
+ Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
+ Customer service-oriented mindset.
+ Effective time management and organizational skills.
+ Knowledge of Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS) is a plus.
