The Rockford Rivets are seeking a qualified individual to join the team as a Culinary Intern for the 2025 season. This position is an unpaid internship providing hands-on experience in collegiate sports. The culinary intern will work closely with the concessions teams and should be available for all home games, along with any additional events assigned throughout the season. The culinary interns will report directly to the Director of Food and Beverage. This summer internship program runs from mid-May to late August. All interns must be available for each home game (36), along with any additional events assigned throughout the season. Responsibilities Include: Cooking, prepping, and following recipes. Responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of running a food service-related operation. Performs tasks related to ensuring compliance with safe food prep and handling, storage and sanitation. Provide direct "hands-on" cooking or prep work to deliver quality and prompt service. Overseeing all concession stands to ensure proper operation. Assist in working with vendors, ordering food products and beverages. Maintain accurate inventory. Help manage concessions staff, including training, delegating responsibilities and developing a fun and productive atmosphere. Operational duties such as cleaning and organizing. Ensuring an exceptional fan experience through great customer service. Responsibilities will also include assisting other departments when requested or needed.
