Job Description

Position Overview:

Human Supports of Idaho is seeking a dedicated and creative Licensed Mental Health Professional to join our team. This role involves providing direct clinical services primarily in the community (90% of the time) and occasionally in the office. The Mental Health Professional will take on a higher caseload as the "primary" clinician, leading integrated assessments, team-based case conceptualizations, and person-centered treatment planning in collaboration with clients, family members, and other collateral contacts.

Why Join Us? At Human Supports of Idaho, we are committed to providing innovative and client-centered care. If you are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with mental illness and enjoy working in a dynamic and community-focused environment, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Leadership: Serve as the primary clinician for assigned clients, leading the development of integrated assessments, case conceptualizations, and person-centered treatment plans.
  • Direct Services: Provide individual, group, and family therapy in various settings, with a strong focus on community-based services.
  • Psychiatric Rehabilitation: Lead psychotherapy rehabilitation services and skills training, focusing on community living skills necessary for independent living and socialization.
  • Creative Interventions: Utilize evidence-based therapies creatively, such as practicing exposure therapy during everyday activities or teaching mindfulness in a natural setting.
  • Case Management: Offer comprehensive case management services, including accompanying clients to appointments and supporting their overall treatment journey.
  • Culturally Competent Care: Deliver trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally competent care to all clients.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure/Certification: Current, active unrestricted licensure or certification as a mental health professional in the state of Idaho (e.g., LMSW, LPC, LCSW, LCPC) is required.
  • Education: Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related clinical field is required.
  • Experience: Proven experience in providing mental health services to clients with serious and persistent mental illness.
  • Clinical Knowledge: Strong understanding of chemical dependency, mental health diagnoses, and treatment approaches.
  • Therapeutic Expertise: Proficiency in empirically supported psychotherapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
  • Preferred Skills: Experience with skills training and psychotherapy rehabilitation approaches is preferred.
  • Harm Reduction Understanding: Familiarity with and acceptance of harm reduction strategies versus abstinence-based interventions for co-occurring substance use disorders.

Apply today to become a part of our team and help shape the future of mental health care in our community.
